To Singapore, with love.

Made in Green is a chair made from green wood and polypropylene rope, designed in response to a brief on regenerative materials.

It reflects on Singapore’s balance between natural growth and urban systems, combining freshly cut lime and sycamore wood with neon rope, a nod to the construction tarps seen across the city. Traditional green woodworking techniques allowed for joinery without glue, intercepting the wood at a structural stage while keeping the chair fully disassemblable. The seat is hand-woven, reviving practical craft methods within a contemporary, functional form.

Materials were locally sourced from small tree surgery operations in London, with future iterations intended to explore native materials in a Singaporean context.
